In early May, 1963, a local newspaper, The Buffalo Courier-Express, featured
Mrs. Caldwell's art in a two page article in the Sunday magazine section.

She described the reaction this way,"...there has been tremendous response to the
publication...many calls and letters...some complimentary, some amusing, and one
the height of cynicism. Any ego I may have developed from all this acclaim, was
quickly erased by a call(er)...who said...'hey lady, just how much did the
Courier-Express pay you for that impossible story? I want you know you aren't
fooling me or the public either!'"

After this publicity, Mrs Caldwell had countless news stories, articles, exhibits,
radio interviews and television appearances.
